ITIS Appoint New Director of Broadcast Technolo...
LONDON, December 3 /PRNewswire/ -- ITIS Holdings plc ("ITIS or "the
Company"), a world leader in
road traffic information services, is pleased to announce the appointment of
Dave Francis as Director of Broadcast Technologies with immediate effect.
Dave joins the Company from DENSO in the UK where he was
responsible for navigation system development and during his 9 years there
worked closely with several vehicle manufacturers on the development of their
navigation platforms. Dave has developed a deep understanding of the various
protocols for delivering traffic information into the car including RDS-TMC
and TPEG and will be responsible for working with all ITIS's customers on
developing their current and future traffic broadcast technologies.
Dave will be a direct replacement for Danny Woolard who after
7 years as Technical Director (Wireless Services) is leaving ITIS to join his
family in Australia. Danny has made a huge contribution to ITIS, our
customers and to RDS-TMC both through his Chairmanship of the TMC Forum and
his early work with TMC which led to ITIS launching the UK's first service in
2001. Danny will remain as a consultant to the Company to ensure a smooth
transition and that existing projects continue to have the benefit of his
past involvement.
