Johnson Matthey Plc announces that Mr MJ Roney, a non-executive director, will
take on the roles of Senior Independent Director and Chairman of the Management
Development and Remuneration Committee with effect from the close of the Annual
General Meeting of the Company on 19th July 2011.
This will follow the retirement on 19th July 2011 of Mr AM Thomson, current
Senior Independent Director and Chairman of Audit Committee, and Mr RJW Walvis,
current chairman of the Management Development and Remuneration Committee.
Both Mr Thomson and Mr Walvis will have served as non-executive
directors for nine years.
As previously announced, Mr AM Ferguson, who was appointed a non-executive
director on 13th January 2011, will take over as Chairman of the Audit
Committee upon Mr Thomson's retirement.
This announcement is being made in accordance with paragraph 9.6.11R of the
Listing Rules.
