The Law Debenture Corporation p.l.c. - Transactions and compliance with the
Model Code

The Law Debenture Corporation p.l.c. ("the Corporation") announces in
accordance with Listing Rule 15.5.1 (4) that:

1. Although the Corporation has entered a close period, running from the end of
the financial year (31 December 2008) to the anticipated date for the
announcement of results for that period (27 February 2009);

2. The Corporation's Board is satisfied that all inside information which the
directors and the Corporation may have had has previously been issued to a RIS.

Accordingly, the Corporation, its subsidiaries, its directors and persons
discharging managerial responsibilities will be permitted to deal in the
Corporation's shares during the close period, so long as no inside information
comes to light subsequent to this announcement.
