Liontrust Asset Management PLC ('the Company') has been notified on 15 August
2005 of dealing in the Company's ordinary shares as follows:

Nigel Legge and Vinay Abrol, directors of the Company, are participants in the
Company's Employee Share Ownership Plan (the 'ESOP') and on 15 August 2005 were
allocated 130 ordinary shares each at a price of 288p per share.

Nigel Legge's total interest following this notification is 893,575 ordinary
shares or 2.54% of the total issued share capital of the Company. Vinay Abrol's
total interest following this notification is 405,436 ordinary shares or 1.15%
of the total issued share capital of the Company.
