Liontrust Asset Management PLC ("the Company") has been notified on 22 August
2006 of dealing in the Company's ordinary shares as follows:

Nigel Legge and Vinay Abrol, directors of the Company, are participants in the
Company's Employee Share Ownership Plan (the "ESOP") and on 22 August 2006 were
allocated 107 ordinary shares each at a price of 349p per share.

Nigel Legge's total interest following this notification is 895,115 ordinary
shares or 2.55% of the total issued share capital of the Company. Vinay Abrol's
total interest following this notification is 407,025 ordinary shares or 1.16%
of the total issued share capital of the Company.
