Liontrust Asset Management PLC ("the Company") has been notified on 2 May 2006
of dealing in the Company's ordinary shares as follows:

Nigel Legge and Vinay Abrol, directors of the Company, are participants in the
Company's Employee Share Ownership Plan (the "ESOP") and on 2 May 2006 were
allocated 99 ordinary shares and 100 ordinary shares respectively at a price of
377p per share.

Nigel Legge's total interest following this notification is 894,636 ordinary
shares or 2.54% of the total issued share capital of the Company. Vinay Abrol's
total interest following this notification is 406,508 ordinary shares or 1.16%
of the total issued share capital of the Company.
