Liontrust Asset Management PLC ("the Company") has been notified on 13 July
2006 of dealing in the Company's ordinary shares as follows:

Nigel Legge and Vinay Abrol, directors of the Company, are participants in the
Company's Employee Share Ownership Plan (the "ESOP") and on 13 July l2006 were
allocated 262 ordinary shares and 300 ordinary shares respectively at a price
of 345p per share.

Nigel Legge's total interest following this notification is 895,008 ordinary
shares or 2.55% of the total issued share capital of the Company. Vinay Abrol's
total interest following this notification is 406,918 ordinary shares or 1.16%
of the total issued share capital of the Company.
