Liontrust Asset Management PLC ("the Company") has been notified on 1 December
2006 of dealing in the Company's ordinary shares as follows:

Nigel Legge and Vinay Abrol, directors of the Company, are participants in the
Company's Employee Share Ownership Plan (the "ESOP") and on 1 December 2006
were allocated 143 ordinary shares and 152 ordinary shares respectively at a
price of 361p per share.

Nigel Legge's total interest following this notification is 895,579 ordinary
shares or 2.64% of the total issued share capital of the Company. Vinay Abrol's
total interest following this notification is 407,498 ordinary shares or 1.20%
of the total issued share capital of the Company.
