Notification of directors' interests: Companies Act 1985 s.329

Liontrust Asset Management plc ('the Company') had, on the maturity of its SAYE
share option scheme ('the scheme'), allotted shares to directors as follows:

On 1 February 2005 Nigel Legge, Vinay Abrol and Andrew Yates, directors of the
Company, having exercised their options under the scheme, were allocated 10,901
ordinary shares each at a price of 154.8p per share.

Nigel Legge's total interest following this notification is 892,541 ordinary
shares or 2.54% of the total issued share capital of the Company. Vinay Abrol's
total interest following this notification is 404,362 ordinary shares or 1.15%
of the total issued share capital of the Company. Andrew Yates' total interest
following this notification is 495,162 ordinary shares or 1.41% of the total
issued share capital of the Company.
