Liontrust Asset Management plc ('the Company') has been notified on 15 April
2005 of dealing in the Company's ordinary shares as follows:

Nigel Legge and Vinay Abrol, directors of the Company, are participants in the
Company's Employee Share Ownership Plan (the 'ESOP') and on 14 April 2005 were
allocated 127 ordinary shares each at a price of 295p per share.

Nigel Legge's total interest following this notification is 892,904 ordinary
shares or 2.54% of the total issued share capital of the Company. Vinay Abrol's
total interest following this notification is 404,724 ordinary shares or 1.15%
of the total issued share capital of the Company.
