Liontrust Asset Management plc ('the Company') has been notified on 18 March
2005 of dealing in the Company's ordinary shares as follows:

Nigel Legge, Vinay Abrol and Andrew Yates, directors of the Company, are
participants in the Company's Employee Share Ownership Plan (the 'ESOP') and on
17 March 2005 were allocated 118, 117 and 118 ordinary shares respectively at a
price of 319p per share.

Nigel Legge's total interest following this notification is 892,777 ordinary
shares or 2.54% of the total issued share capital of the Company. Vinay Abrol's
total interest following this notification is 404,597 ordinary shares or 1.15%
of the total issued share capital of the Company. Andrew Yates' total interest
following this notification is 495,398 ordinary shares or 1.41% of the total
issued share capital of the Company.
