Director of the Company on 19 January 2005.



MAJEDIE INVESTMENTS PLC

The Company has today been advised that Mr R Clarke, a Director of the Company,
acquired on 26 January 2005, 218 ordinary shares of 10p each (representing 0.0%
of the issued class of capital) at a price of 240.0p each. The shares were
acquired through a dividend re-investment, and are held in the Majedie PEP
Scheme.

Mr R Clarke is now deemed to have a disclosable interest in 15,009 shares,
representing 0.03% of the issued share capital.
