The Company has today been advised that Mrs CM Clarke, the wife of a Director
of the Company, acquired on 4 July 2007, 41 ordinary shares of 10p each
(representing 0.0% of the issued class of capital) at a price of 476.00p each.
The shares were acquired through a dividend re-investment, and are held in the
Majedie share plan.

Mr R Clarke is now deemed to have a disclosable interest in 25,402 shares,
representing 0.049% of the issued share capital.

The Company was further advised that Mrs MEW Reid, the wife of a Director of
the Company, acquired on 4 July 2007, 262 ordinary shares of 10p each
(representing 0.0% of the issued class of capital) at a price of 476.00p each.
The shares were acquired through a dividend re-investment, and are held in the
Majedie share plan.

Mr Reid is now deemed to have a disclosable interest in 33,214 shares,
representing 0.064% of the issued share capital.
