Majedie Investments PLC - Directors' Shareholdings

The Company announces that the following award to a person discharging
managerial responsibilities (PDMR) was granted on 10 June 2008 under the rules
of the Company's Long Term Incentive Plan (LTIP) as follows:

These matching awards relate to 50% of the bonuses in respect of the forth and
last special dividend received from Majedie Asset Management Limited. The award
has been granted at nil consideration and relate to ordinary shares of 10p
each. They have an aggregate exercise price of £1 but have no performance
conditions attached apart from the continuation of employment with the Company
for three years from the date of the awards.

Prior TSR based awards have been increased by 3,829 and 1,638 shares for
Gillian Leates in respect of the final and special dividend of 6.2p and 4.5p on
2 January 2008 and the interim dividend of 4.2p on 4 June 2008. Similarly her
matching awards increase by 2,081 and 890 shares respectively.

Following these awards Gillian Leates has the following interest in the
Company's shares:
