Director/PDMR Shareholding

MAJEDIE INVESTMENTS PLC

The Company has today been advised that Mrs MEW Reid, the wife of a Director of
the Company, purchased on 8 February 2006, 285 ordinary shares of 10p each
(representing 0.0% of the issued class of capital) at a price of 349p each. The
shares were purchased pursuant to a regular standing order through the Majedie
share plan.

Mr Reid is now deemed to have a disclosable interest in 31,828 shares,
representing 0.06% of the issued share capital.

This announcement is made in accordance with Section 328 of the Companies Act.
