Director Shareholding

MAJEDIE INVESTMENTS PLC

The Company has been advised that Mr R Clarke, a Director of the Company,
acquired on 26 March 2003, 29 Ordinary shares of 10p each (representing 0.0% of
the issued class of capital) at a price of 172p each. The shares were acquired
pursuant to the re-investment of tax credits, through the Majedie PEP Scheme.

Mr R Clarke is now deemed to have a disclosable interest in 13,584 shares,
representing 0.03% of the issued share capital.

The Company was also advised that Mrs M Ritchie, the wife of a Director of the
Company, acquired on 26 March 2003, 25 Ordinary shares of 10p each
(representing 0.0% of the issued class of capital) at a price of 172p each. The
shares were also acquired pursuant to the re-investment of tax credits, through
the Majedie PEP Scheme.

Mr Ritchie is now deemed to have a disclosable interest in 15,583 shares,
representing 0.03% of the issued share capital.
