Director Shareholding

MAJEDIE INVESTMENTS PLC

The Company was advised on 29 September 2003 that as a result of share
transactions completed on 26 September 2003, the beneficial holdings of two
Directors of the Company have changed as follows:

Further to the sale of 100,000 Ordinary shares at a price of 198.50p each, Sir
John K Barlow's beneficial holding has reduced to 2,910,642 Ordinary shares of
10p each (representing 5.54% of the issued class of capital) and;

Further to the purchase of 100,000 Ordinary shares at a price of 198.50p each,
J William M Barlow's beneficial holding has increased to 1,238,857 Ordinary
shares of 10p each (representing 2.36% of the issued class of capital).

The non-beneficial interests of Sir John K Barlow and J William M Barlow remain
unchanged.
