MAJEDIE INVESTMENTS PLC

The Company has been advised that the number of shares held in the Majedie
Share Plan by Mrs Catherine Clarke, the wife of a Director, has been
understated by 505 Ordinary shares. The number of shares held by Mrs Clarke is
4,642 and as a consequence Mr R Clarke is now deemed to have a disclosable
interest in 14,248 shares, representing 0.03% of the issued share capital.
