Death of St.John Hartnell OBE, Hon DSc, FRICS.
The Board of Oak Holdings Plc ('Oak' or 'the Company') announces with deep
sadness and regret that the Company must record the death of St.John Hartnell,
a Non-Executive director of the Company, after a short illness.
St.John was a Founder Director and shareholder of Oak Holdings Limited and a
champion of the YES! Project in Rotherham. As a Non-Executive Director, he
played an active role in Oak Holdings affairs and his counsel, wealth of
experience, good humour and cheerfulness even in the face of adversity will be
a great loss not only to his close Board colleagues but to his family, his many
friends and his contacts worldwide.
He was a Bristolian through and through having served proudly as High Sheriff
of that noble City, as well as being the former Senior Partner of the
respected, professional commercial property firm, Hartnell Taylor Cook, an
Honorary Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and an Honorary
Doctor of Science of the University of the West of England. He was awarded the
O.B.E. for Services to Bristol.
We shall miss him greatly and extend our sympathy and best wishes to his family
at this very sad time.
