Appointment of Director                            

Matrix Income & Growth 2 VCT plc is pleased to announce that it has appointed
Adam Kingdon to be a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 29
September 2006.

Mr Kingdon is an experienced businessman with a 20-year track record across a
range of companies in manufacturing, aviation and mining in the UK, France and
Germany.

The Board has pleasure in welcoming Mr Kingdon as a director and looks forward
to working with him.
