Board Changes
The Boards of Mondi Limited and Mondi plc announce that further to their
announcement on 10 July, Sir John Parker will be succeeded as Joint Chairman by
David Williams with immediate effect.
David Williams has been the senior independent director and chairman of the DLC
Audit Committee since joining the Boards of Mondi Limited and Mondi plc in May
2007.
Anne Quinn, an independent non-executive director and chair of the DLC
Remuneration Committee, who also joined the Boards of Mondi Limited and Mondi
plc in May 2007, will succeed David Williams as senior independent director.
The DLC Nominations Committee has commenced the process of seeking an
additional independent non-executive director able to succeed David Williams as
chairman of the DLC Audit Committee.
Cyril Ramaphosa, Joint Chairman, said "It has been a pleasure to work together
with Sir John as Joint Chairmen of Mondi, guiding the Group through its
transition to an independently listed enterprise and helping to develop its
strategic direction during the last two years. I look forward to working more
closely with David who is a worthy successor and will help provide stability
and continuity for the Group during the current difficult economic
environment."
