Montanaro UK Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC ("the Company")

Further to the announcement made on 1 August 2013, the Directors confirm that
Mr James Robinson has been appointed as a Director of the Company with effect
from today.

There have been no changes to his directorships previously announced. There are
no other details required to be disclosed pursuant to LR 9.6.13 of the UKLA.
