Montanaro UK Smaller Companies Investment Trust PLC ('the Company')

The Company confirms that British Airways Pension Trustees do not have, and
have never had, a notifiable interest in the ordinary 10p shares of the
Company. The interest shown in the recent annual report was incorrect due to an
administrative error.
