Oxford Instruments plc 2004/05 Interim Results

The Directors of Oxford Instruments plc will be meeting on Thursday 18 November
2004 to approve the accounts for the half year to 30 September 2004 for
publication and to agree the Interim Dividend for the year to 31 March 2005.

The Dividend will be payable on 25 March 2005 to members on the register at the
close of business on 25 February 2005 (the record date).

The announcement of the Company's Interim Results will be released to the Stock
Exchange on Thursday 18 November 2004.
