Parity Group plc
Parity Group wins five-year Business Process Management contract with
ICI Paints
Parity Group plc ('Parity' or 'the Group') has been awarded a five-year
agreement to manage the procurement and administration of temporary labour for
ICI Paints, a division of ICI Group. The agreement with ICI Paints applies to
its operations in the UK and mainland Europe and starts on 13 September. While
there is no fixed value to the contract, ICI Paints currently spends
approximately £4.5 million per annum on temporary labour services.
In addition, Parity has signed a Letter of Agreement with ICI Group to extend
the contract to other ICI Group companies across Europe and US, as the concept
is proved.
Under the agreement, Parity will be responsible for managing a network of over
30 suppliers of temporary staff to ICI Paints across a range of disciplines.
Focusing on improving efficiency and reducing cost, Parity will base its
technology solution on the market-leading contractor management software to
which it has access though its partnership with Chimes Inc. In addition,
Parity will ensure that all temporary labour provided to ICI Paints is
compliant with the relevant employment legislation for each European country in
which the contract operates.
Commenting on the contract award, Ian Miller, Chief Executive of Parity, said:
'ICI is a key strategic client. We proactively identified this opportunity and
worked very closely with ICI Paints to develop the solution. We were able to
demonstrate that Parity is uniquely placed to service this type of contract
which combines complex technology with a detailed understanding of HR, not just
in the UK but across Europe and, if the contract is rolled out across ICI
Group, in the US also.
'We are able to deploy the relevant expertise on the ground in each of these
regions though our Resourcing and Solutions businesses. This contract is an
important reflection of the strength of our offering in Business Process
Management and HR and of the significant opportunities we see for the Group in
these areas.'
