Personal Group Holdings Plc (the "Company")
Trading Update
25 September 2006
Further to the Interim Results announced today for the six month period to 30
June 2006, the Company today announces its intention to commence an investment
programme aimed at strengthening its product marketing capabilities.
Further permanent sales staff are to be recruited over the coming period to
December 2007 into the Company's Universal Provident subsidiary, to reach a
level of 15 permanent employees by the end of 2007. The Directors expect this
additional resource to boost sales of its private medical insurance products in
the long term.
In the short term the cost of this investment programme and other trading
activities may reduce profits for the full year to 31 December 2006 by up to
approximately £0.5 million from those currently forecast by the market.
