Pendragon advises that, pursuant to the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency
Rules, it was notified on 23 September 2008 that following a transaction on 18
September 2008 Barclays PLC has decreased its notifiable interest in the voting
rights to 38,990,102 ordinary shares of 5p, representing 5.94% of the voting
rights in the issued ordinary share capital of Pendragon.
