On 21 October 2004 the Barclays PLC Group of Companies confirmed that,
following a transaction on the 20 October 2004 its total notifiable interest in
the ordinary shares in Pendragon has increased to 3,954,633 shares,
representing 3.01% of Pendragon's issued share capital.
