Notice of AGM and posting of annual accounts

PREMIER UTILITIES TRUST PLC

The Annual Report for Premier Utilities Trust PLC (the "Company") for the year
ended 31 December 2007 is being mailed to shareholders on 28 March 2008. The
Annual Report contains a Notice convening an Annual General Meeting for the
Company to be held on Tuesday 29 April 2008 at 2.00pm at Eastgate Court, High
Street, Guildford, Surrey GU 3DE.

Over the last 12 months the investments in developing markets such as China
have been successful and the Investment Manager has also increased its focus on
investments in the energy and water sectors and whilst this does not constitute
a change in investment policy the Directors consider that a change of name to
reflect the key focus of investment strategy would be appropriate. Accordingly
it is proposed in the Notice of the Annual General Meeting that the name of the
Company be altered to Premier Energy and Water Trust plc.

Copies of the Annual Report are being submitted to the UK Listing Authority,
and will shortly be available for inspection at their Document Viewing Facility
