DIRECTORATE CHANGES
Reckitt Benckiser Group plc (RB.L) today announces the appointment of Richard
Cousins as an independent non-executive director, such appointment to take
effect from 1st October 2009.
Richard Cousins (50) is Group Chief Executive of Compass Group PLC, the world's
largest catering company. He was appointed Group Chief Executive in 2006.
Previously Richard was Chief Executive Officer of BPB plc, having held a number
of positions with that company and is a former non-executive director of P&O
and HBOS. His earlier career was with Cadbury Schweppes plc and BTR plc.
Adrian Bellamy, Chairman of Reckitt Benckiser Group plc, commented
"The Board is delighted that Richard has agreed to join us. He will bring a
wealth of international management and commercial business experience to the
Board. I am sure he will make a significant contribution to the future success
of the Company."
Following the announcement of his appointment to the Board of J Sainsbury
plc as Chairman Designate, effective 1st October 2009, David Tyler has offered
his resignation from the Board of Reckitt Benckiser Group plc in recognition of
the amount of time he is to devote to that new role. The Board has accepted
David's resignation effective from 30th September 2009.
