DIRECTORATE CHANGE
It is with regret that Reckitt Benckiser Group plc (RB) today announces the
resignation of Graham Mackay as a director, and the Senior Independent
Director, with immediate effect.
As was announced by SABMiller plc in April, Mr Mackay has recently undergone
surgery for a brain tumour and is now receiving further treatment. As a result,
Mr Mackay has expressed a wish to reduce his business commitments and has
tendered his resignation to the RB Board.
Adrian Bellamy, Chairman of RB, commented:
"Graham has been a valued member of our Board and our Remuneration Committee
since February 2005 and we thank him for his immense contribution and wise
counsel over the last eight years. We also thank him for acting as our Senior
Independent Director since November 2006. We fully respect and understand his
decision to step down from the Board and I, on behalf of the Board and I am
sure also on behalf of our shareholders, wish him well as he continues his
treatment. Our thoughts are with him and his family."
Following Mr Mackay's resignation, with immediate effect the Board has
appointed Andre Lacroix as the new Senior Independent Director. Mr Lacroix, the
current CEO of Inchcape plc, has been a director of RB since October 2008 and
