Notification under Part VI Companies Act 1985

On 4 April 2003, Morgan Stanley Securities Limited (MSSL) notified Reckitt
Benckiser plc that MSSL and each of the persons listed in the attached schedule
(by virtue of their being holding companies of MSSL) were interested in
41,118,010 ordinary shares of 10.526p each as comprised in the relevant share
capital, as defined in section 198(2) of the Companies Act 1985 (the Act), of
Reckitt Benckiser plc (Relevant Shares).

The interest of MSSL and each of the persons listed in the attached schedule in
35,000,000 of the Relevant Shares arose as a result of the purchase obligation
contained in an agreement entered into on 2 April 2003 with JAB Investments
B.V. and Joh. A. Benckiser GmbH pursuant to which MSSL agreed to purchase
35,000,000 ordinary shares of 10.526p each in the ordinary share capital of
Reckitt Benckiser plc owned by JAB Investments B.V.

Following settlement of the sale by MSSL of the 35,000,000 ordinary shares
referred to above, we hereby notify you in accordance with Part VI of the Act
that, as at 7 April 2003, MSSL and each of the persons listed in the attached
schedule no longer had a notifiable interest in the Relevant Shares.
