                             Director appointment                              

Rightmove plc, the UK's no. 1 property website, announces that Ashley Martin
has been appointed as a non-executive director and as Audit Committee Chairman
with immediate effect.

Mr. Martin, is currently Group Finance Director of Rok plc, a £1.0 billion
turnover maintenance and building services group business. He has held this
position since September 2003. Prior to Rok plc, Mr. Martin held various
positions with Tempus Group plc including Group Finance Director from 1997 to
2002 prior to the sale of the £2 billion turnover media communications group in
2001.

Commenting on the new appointment, Scott Forbes, Rightmove's chairman said,

Ashley's diversified business and financial skills will enable him to make a
valuable contribution to the Board and support the achievement of the Company's
ambitious goals."

Apart from his directorship in Rok plc reported under Listing Rule 9.6.13(1)
above, there are no further details in respect of Ashley Martin requiring
disclosure under Listing Rules 9.6.13(2) to Listing Rule 9.6.13(6) inclusive.
