Rightmove plc ("Rightmove"), the UK's no. 1 property website, announces that on
20 August 2008 it purchased 32,831 of its 1p ordinary shares at a volume
weighted average price paid per share of 294.304p for Cancellation. The highest
price paid per share was 295.00p and the lowest price paid per share was
292.5p.

Rightmove has purchased, to date 11,752,072 of its own shares since announcing
a share buy-back programme on 28 December 2007.

The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares) at the
date of this announcement is 117,647,906. Rightmove holds 2,505,430 shares in
treasury.
