Robert Walters plc
AGM STATEMENT
Mr Timothy Barker, Chairman, Robert Walters plc, speaking at today's Annual
General Meeting said:
'In our preliminary results for the 12 months ended 31 December, 2001 announced
on 12 March, 2002 we indicated that the first quarter of 2002 was looking to be
very similar in terms of net fee income to the final quarter of 2001, which was
the weakest quarter that year.
This turned out to be the case and we have seen no improvement in our markets
in April. We continue to manage the business on the basis of unchanged market
conditions, keeping a tight control on headcount and other key costs.'
