ROLLS-ROYCE APPOINTS JOHN NEILL AS A NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Rolls-Royce today announces the appointment today of John Neill CBE as a
non-executive director.
Announcing the appointment, the Chairman of Rolls-Royce, Simon Robertson said:
"I am delighted to welcome John Neill as a non-executive director of
Rolls-Royce. He brings with him a wealth of experience in component
manufacturing, supply-chain management and logistics which will all be
extremely valuable to our Company."
John Neill is the Chief Executive of the Unipart Group of Companies. He is a
member of the Council and Board of Business in the Community and is a
Non-Executive Director of Charter PLC.
Notes:
John Neill CBE was educated at George Heriot's School, Edinburgh and the
University of Strathclyde. He gained a Bachelor of Arts Degree and then a
Masters Degree in Business Administration. He has been awarded an Honorary
Doctorate in Business Administration from Oxford Brookes University, Middlesex
University and De Montfort University. He joined Unipart from General Motors in
1979 and in 1987 led the successful management buyout of the Company. He is
Vice President of the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, of BEN, the
automotive industry charity and of The Institute of the Motor Industry. He is
also a Trustee of the National Motor Museum.
There are no other details to disclose under paragraph 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the
Listing Rules in relation to John Neill.
