20 June, 2007 FURTHER V2500 BUSINESS WORTH $200 MILLION TO ROLLS-ROYCE Rolls-Royce has won business worth $200 million as a result of orders from Blue Wings and CIT Group for V2500 engines to power A320 family aircraft. Rolls-Royce is a senior partner in IAE which supplies the V2500 for the A320 series, including the A319 Corporate Jet. Germany's Blue Wings has ordered 20 A320 aircraft worth $115 million to Rolls-Royce. CIT has selected the V2500 to power up to 15 Airbus A320 family aircraft. The order is made up of 10 firm and 5 options and, if all the options are realised, the deal will be worth more than $85 million to Rolls-Royce. Over 1,300 V2500-powered aircraft have been delivered.
