plc, were granted options over ordinary shares of the Company with an exercise
price of 214 pence per share under The Sage Group 1999 Executive Share Option
Scheme:-

performance conditions and continued employment, from 10 January 2011 to 10
January 2018.

On 10 January 2008 the persons named below, who are directors of The Sage Group
plc, were granted awards over ordinary shares in The Sage Group plc under the
Sage Group Deferred Bonus Plan. The number of shares to which the award relates
is specified opposite the director's name. No price is payable either on the
grant or vesting of an award. The awards will normally vest, subject to
possible forfeiture if the director leaves employment, on 10 January 2011.
