Director/PDMR Shareholding

Severn Trent Plc has been informed on 28 June 2010 that:

 1. deferred share awards totalling 50,378 Ordinary Shares of 97 17/19 pence
    each ("Ordinary Shares") in Severn Trent Plc were granted on 21 May 2010
    under the terms of the Severn Trent Annual Bonus Scheme, in respect of the
    year ended 31 March 2010, to the Directors and Persons Discharging
    Managerial Responsibilities ("PDMR") of the Company as set out below. These
    were recorded by the Trustee on 28 June 2010. The Ordinary Shares will vest
    on the third anniversary of grant subject to continued employment; and
   
 2. matching share awards totalling 25,187 Ordinary Shares of 97 17/19 pence
    each ("Ordinary Shares") in Severn Trent Plc were granted on 21 May 2010
    under the terms of the Severn Trent Share Matching Plan, in respect of the
    year ended 31 March 2010, to the Directors and Persons Discharging
    Managerial Responsibilities ("PDMR") of the Company as set out below. These
    were recorded by the Trustee on 28 June 2010. The Ordinary Shares will vest
    on the third anniversary of award subject to continued employment and
    achievement of performance targets.
