Severn Trent Plc announces today, Monday 19 December 2005, the appointments of
Mr Richard Davey and Dr Bernard Bulkin as Non Executive Directors. They will
take up their appointments on the Board of Severn Trent Plc on 1 January 2006.
Mr Davey is a Non Executive Director of Yorkshire Building Society and Amlin
Plc and a former Non Executive Director of Freeserve plc and Scottish Widows
Fund and Life Assurance Society. He worked as Head of Investment Banking for NM
Rothschild & Sons. Previously he held a number of roles in various
organisations including Merrill Lynch International Ltd and Exco International
Plc.
Dr Bulkin is Chairman of AEA Technology Plc and a Non Executive Director of
Accelergy Corporation (California). He is a Commissioner on the UK Sustainable
Development Commission where he chairs the Climate Change, Energy and Transport
Group. He is also a member of the DTI Sustainable Energy Policy Advisory Board.
Previously he worked for BP Plc for 18 years until 2003 when he retired as
Chief Scientist.
