                          DISPOSAL OF THE US DIVISION                          

St Ives is pleased to confirm that the Circular and Notice of Extraordinary
General Meeting relating to the Disposal of the US Division, referred to in the
announcement dated 2 January 2009, has been posted to shareholders today.

A copy of the Circular has been submitted to the Financial Services Authority
and will shortly be available for inspection at the offices of Herbert Smith
LLP, Exchange House, Primrose Street, London EC2A 2HS and at the Financial
Services Authority's document viewing facility, which is situated at 25 The
North Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London E14 5HS.
