Hurricane Damage in South Florida                       

St Ives' facilities at Hollywood and Miami in South Florida have been without
power and communications since the impact of Hurricane Wilma earlier in the
week. The property at Hollywood has suffered significant damage. It is not
possible at present to provide any firm indication of the financial impact of
the hurricane on the Group's South Florida operations. However, the Group has
the benefit of insurance cover, both for damage to its property and plant and
business interruption, subject to the relevant deductibles (of up to
approximately £3 million).

A further announcement will be made when it becomes possible to provide a more
complete evaluation.
