Sopheon plc ("the Company") announces that a director, Daniel Metzger,
purchased 100,000 ordinary 5p shares in the Company on 24 January 2007, at a
purchase price of 45.5 US cents (23.1 pence) per ordinary share. Mr Metzger has
no other interest in Sopheon shares.
