Further to the appointment of Mr Anthony Reading as a non-executive director of Spectris plc ('the Company') with effect from 10 March 2004 and announced on 11 March 2004, the Company confirms that there is no information which requires disclosure under paragraph 6.F.2 (b) to (g) of the Listing Rules.
The Company also confirms that at the date of appointment, Mr Reading had a beneficial interest in 3,500 5p ordinary shares of the Company purchased by his wife in 1989 and 2000.
