The following information is given, subsequent to John Warren's appointment as
a non-executive director of Spectris plc on 7 March 2006.

In accordance with paragraph 9.6.13(1) of the Listing Rules, John Warren has
advised that with effect from 1 May 2006 he will be appointed to the board of
BPP Holdings Plc as a non-executive Director. Mr Warren is also a non-executive
director of Arla Foods UK plc, The Rank Group Plc and Bovis Homes Group PLC.

There is no further information which would require disclosure under paragraph
9.6.13 (2-6) of the Listing Rules.
