This notification is made in accordance with DTR 3.1.4(1)(a).

On 8 March 2007, awards were granted under the Spectris Performance Share Plan
("Plan") to certain directors and persons discharging managerial
responsibilities.

The awards were granted in the form of nominal cost options with an exercise
price of 5 pence per share. The awards became exercisable on 8 March 2010 for a
period of 12 months.

On 11 March 2010, the following individuals exercised their awards in
accordance with the rules of the Plan over the number of shares set out in the
table below.
