BOARD CHANGES
The Board of Spectris plc at its meeting yesterday determined that:
i. Having served as a non-executive director since June 2001, Andrew Given,
Senior Independent Director, will retire from the Board at the May 2007
AGM;
ii. Tony Reading will assume the role of Senior Independent Director with
effect from the May 2007 AGM; and
iii. John Warren will assume the Chairmanship of the Audit Committee with
effect from 1st January 2007.
Additionally, John Poulter has agreed to the Board's request to extend his term
of office by one year to the May 2008 AGM, providing continuity through the
above changes and the recent appointment of Clive Watson, Finance Director.
