        Appointment of Managing Director of SRT PMR Technology Limited         

The Directors of Software Radio Technology plc ("SRT" or the "Company") are
pleased to announce that Dr. George Kyprios has been appointed Managing
Director of the Company's wholly owned subsidiary SRT PMR Technology Limited.

Earlier this year the Company created two wholly owned subsidiaries focused
upon their respective technologies and markets. SRT PMR Technology Limited is
focused on providing core digital radio technology and product solutions to
companies worldwide.

Dr. George Kyprios has a wealth of international business experience with a
background in `blue chip' multinational high-tech businesses, joint ventures
and subsidiary companies supplying advanced products in global markets. He has
held senior commercial and operational roles with major UK and EU engineering
groups in the capital equipment, electronics, defence, telecoms, process, fire/
security and marine industries.

He has an in-depth knowledge of engineering and manufacturing, has opened new
B2B markets and created international sector leaders. Highly qualified with a
PhD in Electronic Engineering, he is tri-lingual and has spent extensive
periods living and working in Europe.
