                           NOTICE UNDER SECTION 708A                           

In respect of the recent placement of ordinary fully paid shares in Range
Resources Limited the offer was made to professional and sophisticated
investors (as described in Section 708 of the Corporations Act). The securities
are part of a class of securities quoted on the Australian Securities Exchange.

The Company gives this notice pursuant to Section 708A(5)(e) of the
Corporations Act.

The shares were issued without disclosure to investors under Part 6D.2, in
reliance on Section 708A(5) of the Corporations Act 2001.

As at the date of this notice, the Company has complied with:

 a. the provisions of Chapter 2M of the Corporations Act as they apply to the
    Company; and
   
 b. Section 674 of the Corporations Act.
   
There is no excluded information for the purposes of Sections 708A(7) and (8)
of the Corporations Act.

A portion of the fully paid ordinary shares are to be issued to sophisticated
and institutional investors in the United Kingdom ("UK") and allotted on the
company's UK register.

Range Background

Range Resources is a dual listed (ASX: RRS; AIM: RRL) oil & gas exploration
company with oil & gas interests in the frontier state of Puntland, Somalia,
the Republic of Georgia and Texas, USA.

  * In Puntland, Range holds a 20% working interest in two licences
    encompassing the highly prospective Dharoor and Nugaal valleys with plans
    to drill two wells (TSXV:AOI) - 65% Operator, in 2010.
   
  * In the Republic of Georgia, Range holds a 50% farm-in interest in onshore
    blocks VIa and VIb, covering approx. 7,000sq.km. Currently, Range is
    undertaking a 350km 2D seismic program.
   
  * Range holds a 25% interest in the North Chapman Ranch project, Texas. The
    project area encompasses approximately 1,680 acres in one of the most
    prolific oil and gas producing trends in the State of Texas. Drilling of
    the first well has resulted in a commercial discovery with production
    commencing Jan/Feb 2010.
