STRATEGIC EQUITY CAPITAL PLC

Strategic Equity Capital plc ("the Company") was informed on 15 November 2013
that Stuart Widdowson, Strategic Fund Manager at SVG Investment Managers, the
Investment Manager of the Company, and persons connected to Mr Widdowson, had
on 14 November purchased and aggregate of 202,000 Ordinary 10 pence shares of
the Company.

All shares were purchased at a price of 140.25 pence per share, with the
exception of the 2,000 shares purchased by Nicholas Widdowson, which were
purchased at a price of 140.37 pence per share.

Following this transaction, Stuart Widdowson and connected persons are
interested in a total of 400,000 Ordinary 10 pence shares (representing 
0.67% of the shares in issue), as follows:

Stuart Widdowson - 278,900 shares (of which 245,900 are held in a SIPP)

Anna Widdowson - 115,500 shares (of which 13,000 are held in a SIPP)

Nicholas Widdowson - 2,800 shares

Patrick Widdowson - 2,800 shares
